What is it?

is a technological education program that challenges students and teachers to develop applications for smartphones or tablets, demonstrating them the potential of technology in the transformation of the world and their communities. With a project approach, students have the opportunity to experience the product’s development cycle.

Apps for Good is an international project based in London since 2010 and founded by Iris Lapinski By invitation of the Portuguese Directorate-General for Education, CDI Portugal and Apps for Good launched the pilot in Portugal in January 2015. To date, more than 23,500 5th to 12th grade students and 1550 teachers from different subject areas have been involved, from 590 public and public schools in Portugal, Angola and East Timor, as well as schools associated to Prison Establishments.
